Director, Jawahar Bal Bhavan


Jawahar Bal Bhavan a unique institution for creativity, liberty and excellence among young children was established in a monument building at Public Gardens, Hyderabad and inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India on 23rd June, 1966 in order to provide those opportunities to children of 5 to 16 years which are beyond the scope of school system in a free atmosphere to experiment and to be creative. In the year 1980, Jawahar Bal Bhavan was strengthened by establishing Bal Bhavans at District Head Quarters and Bal Kendras at Mandal Head Quarters. At present, there are (7) full time Bal Bhavans and (14) part time Bal Kendras functioning under the control of this Department of Jawahar Bal Bhavan.
